A custom real estate website.
Connected property search.

We built a custom WordPress listing platform for a South Bay real estate agent and rebuilt the website around it. The platform connects to the agent’s CRMLS IDX feed, delivered through Trestle, with the participant’s data license managed through REcore.

The challenge

A clearer focus.
A better path to inquiry.

  • Listings focused on the areas the agent serves
  • A faster, easier property search
  • Inquiries connected to the relevant home
  • A clearer website for search engines to crawl

The previous website relied on an off the shelf listings plugin and retained data from an older real estate theme. Its property inventory extended well beyond the agent’s market, while accumulated plugin data had grown the database to 7 GB.

Property pages and inquiry forms were inconsistent, particularly on mobile, and the website needed more useful local content. The brief was to bring property search, local information and buyer and seller inquiries into one coherent website.

What we built

Custom property search.

A WordPress listing platform built around the agent’s market, with connected MLS data and useful filters for people exploring homes.

City property search showing price, bedroom, bathroom, home type and status filters above property listing cards.

Focus on the right areas

Listings are limited to the cities the agent serves, with ZIP code rules for neighborhoods and the agent’s own listings included wherever they are located.

Find a suitable home

Visitors can search by address, city or ZIP, then refine results by price, bedrooms, bathrooms, home type and status.

Keep listings connected

Listing details, status changes and open house times sync automatically from the MLS feed.

Mobile inquiries

From a property
to a conversation.

A buyer should be able to ask about a home without copying its details into a separate message.

  • A Request a tour button on listing pages and in the mobile contact bar
  • A tour form prefilled with the property address and MLS number
  • Consistent, shorter forms across the site, with spam filtering
  • Property photo galleries built for convenient browsing

Technical SEO

A clearer structure
for search and discovery.

Neighborhood guide with local information, property links and an agent contact option.

  • Unique listing titles and descriptions, a listing sitemap, and filtered search results kept out of the index
  • Existing URLs mapped to relevant replacement pages using permanent redirects
  • Notifications to Bing when listings change, plus breadcrumb structured data
  • Area guides and local articles answering buyer and seller questions

A leaner database. Removing leftover plugin data reduced the database from 7 GB to 149 MB.
